Company Overview: At Green Cabbage, we are dedicated to optimizing the procurement process through our services and comprehensive SaaS suite, OneWorkspace. We are searching for an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering department and champion the next phase of our product's evolution.

Role Summary: The Vice President of Engineering will have overarching responsibility for the database and application engineering of Green Cabbage’s SaaS offerings. This strategic role requires a blend of technical acumen and exceptional leadership abilities to manage and elevate our engineering practices, maintain high standards for software development, and lead a dynamic team towards achieving groundbreaking results.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the engineering of scalable, robust SaaS applications, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with business goals.

· Champion the adoption and refinement of development methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) to optimize project management and product delivery.

· Uphold and advance rigorous version control and software development lifecycle protocols.

· Provide mentorship and technical leadership, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement among the engineering team.

· Facilitate collaboration across functional teams to ensure engineering solutions meet business needs.

· Report directly to the Head of Development, providing insightful leadership and proactive updates on engineering progress and initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of 7 years in engineering leadership within a B2B SaaS environment.

· Proven track record in scaling software applications and architecting features that adapt to evolving market demands.

· Expertise in SQL and at least one major programming framework.

· Certified in a recognized software development methodology (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).

Preferred skills and Experience:

· Experience in a machine learning development environment, particularly using Python.

· Familiarity with the needs and workflows of procurement teams.

· Residency in or willingness to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA.
