Position: UI/UX Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Role Summary: The UI/UX Engineer will be instrumental in designing and implementing the front-end architecture of Green Cabbage’s applications. This role combines elements of both design and development, requiring a keen eye for aesthetics aligned with practical, efficient coding skills. The UI/UX Engineer will work closely with both the product and engineering teams to translate company and customer needs into scalable and effective SaaS features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and refine user interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional for complex, data-intensive software.
• Develop and maintain scalable and robust front-end architecture.
• Implement responsive web design standards to ensure applications are accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance the usability and functionality of our products.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and maintain high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design and development within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with Oracle APEX is a plus.
• Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio and proven track record in creating engaging, intuitive, and functional user experiences.
• Experience with user testing and implementing design responses to user feedback.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in creating designs compliant with accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for staying current with the latest industry trends and usability best practices.
