Regional Vice President of Sales

Position Title: Regional Vice President of Sales (RVP of Sales)

Position Overview: The Regional Vice President of Sales is responsible for overseeing sales operations, driving revenue growth, and managing the sales team within the designated region. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and fostering strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regional Sales Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the region that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
    • Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs to drive regional growth.
    • Collaborate with senior management to set regional sales targets and budgets.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing regional sales team.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on achieving excellence.
  3. Sales Performance Management:
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
    • Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on regional sales performance.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
    • Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  5. Sales Process Optimization:
    • Streamline sales processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure the sales team is utilizing CRM systems and other sales tools effectively.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the sales approach innovative and competitive.
  6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:
    • Work closely with marketing, product, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
    • Collaborate with other regional VPs and senior leaders to share insights and drive company-wide success.
    • Ensure consistent communication and alignment between the regional sales team and corporate headquarters.

Qualifications:

  • A background in Technology Sales 5+ years is a must have.
  • Proven experience as a Regional Vice President of Sales, Sales Director, or similar senior sales leadership role.
  • Understanding of procurement technology is a requirement.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a regional capacity.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
