Job Description:
Position: Senior Procurement Analyst
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Overview: As a Senior Procurement Analyst at Green Cabbage, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics and technology solutions to provide insights and recommendations that optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings for our clients. You will be responsible for analyzing indirect IT and contingent workforce spend, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance procurement efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of indirect IT and contingent workforce spend data.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations to improve procurement processes and drive cost savings.
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Collaborate with procurement teams and key stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies for indirect IT and contingent workforce categories.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Drive supplier consolidation and contract optimization initiatives to maximize value and efficiency.
- Technology Solutions Implementation:
- Work closely with the technology team to implement and optimize procurement technology solutions, such as spend analysis platforms and e-procurement systems.
- Provide input and feedback to enhance the functionality and usability of procurement technology tools.
- Train end-users on the effective use of procurement technology solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics and KPIs to track savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate procurement performance and insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure procurement objectives are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to align procurement initiatives with business objectives.
- Engage with clients to understand their procurement challenges and requirements, and provide tailored solutions and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to drive collaboration and achieve mutual goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on indirect IT or contingent workforce categories.
- Proven track record of leveraging data analytics and technology solutions to drive procurement efficiency and cost savings.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to drive supplier relationships and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Experience with procurement technology solutions such as spend analysis platforms, e-procurement systems, or contract management tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM) is a plus.
